92522: John Maciver

John (1853-1909) was the son of Angus Maciver and Margaret Murray, of 33 North Tolsta.

John married Isabella Murray, of 61 North Tolsta, and the couple settled at 33 North Tolsta, which passed to John in due course. The couple had five children: three boys and two girls.

In 1894 John was widowed.

By 1896 John and his second wife, Christina Macdonald of 42 Back, had had their first child; they had three children together: one boy and two girls. John gained a stepson: Alexander Macdonald.

In total John had eight children: four boys and four girls.

John was widowed, for a second time, in 1904.

In due course 33 North Tolsta passed to John and Isabella’s youngest son: Donald.
