Donald (1826-1897) was a son of Donald Macaskill and Ann Macmillan, 4 Old Gravir at Tumanuadan. In the 1852 Lotting the family obtained 17 Gravir.
In Lochs, in 1850, he married Margaret Nicolson, 5 Old Gravir. Donald and Margaret were Cottars at 4 Old Gravir and in the 1852 Lotting obtained 26 Gravir. The couple had seven children.
Their daughter, Isabella and her husband died young and their three children came to live with their grandparents.
