Donald (1854-1930) was a son of Donald Macaskill and Margaret Nicolson, 26 Gravir.
At Stornoway, in 1882, he married Margaret Maclennan, 23 Lemreway. Donald and Margaret were Cottars at 26 Gravir and later obtained 9 Gravir. The couple had ten children.
Donald skippered the fishing boat the Mary and raced in the 1902 Coronation Cup.
