24696: Lewis Hospital, Stornoway

The original hospital was situated on Goathill Road, Stornoway. A new hospital – the Western Isles Hospital – was opened in 1993 in Manor Park, Stornoway to replace the Lewis and County Hospitals.

Doctor Grant, a general practitioner who was located in Miavaig, is recorded by the 35th annual report of the Lewis Hospital as having been elected to the hospital’s Board of Managers in 1932.
