94037: Jane Macleod

Jane (1891-1893) was the daughter of John Macleod and Catherine Maciver; it is not certain where the family were living at the time of her birth. Initially her parents settled as cottars on her uncle’s croft at 74 North Tolsta. They later moved to her maternal grandparents croft at 23 Coll and became cottars there.

Jane died in infancy of a contagious disease, probably Tuberculosis, which also killed her parents and all of her siblings except her eldest brother Donald.
