Catherine (born 1908) was the daughter of Kenneth Martin and Mary Thomson; the family were cottars at 21a North Tolsta.
Her father was a shepherd in Glen Tolsta. Some records then list the family at Hill Street, North Tolsta. In 1922, when Catherine was 14, the family moved to 8 North Street, Sandwick.
Catherine married Charles Macdougall, of Lochmaddy, North Uist.
