91908: Duncan Martin
Duncan (1906-1972) was the son of Kenneth Martin and Mary Thomson; the family were cottars at 21a North Tolsta.
His father became a shepherd in Glen Tolsta. Some records then list the family at Hill Street, North Tolsta, but as the cottars house at 21a North Tolsta is physically located on Hill Street, it may well just refer to that.
In 1922 the family moved to 8 North Street, Sandwick. It is not known if Duncan was still living in the paternal home at this time.
Duncan married Mary Graham, of 8 Back, and the couple settled as cottars at 8 Back. They had no children.
