91558: Alexander Maciver

Alexander (1791-1845) was the son of Evander Maciver and Mary Macleod; it is thought the family were living in Old South Tolsta Tack.

Alexander married Isabella Maciver and the couple are thought to have had their first three children at Old South Tolsta Tack.

In 1830 the family obtained 23 Old South Tolsta as a newly lotted croft; in the same year Alexander’s parents obtained 21 Old South Tolsta. The couple had a further five children at 23 Old South Tolsta; in total they had eight children: five girls and three boys.

After his death, in the 1851 croft relotting, Alexander’s widow obtained 14/15 North Tolsta.
