118307: Ann Mackenzie

Ann (born 1855) was the daughter of Murdo Mackenzie and Eliza Morrison of 4 Old Back.

In 1858 her family obtained 62 Back as a newly lotted croft.

Ann married, widower, Duncan Macleod, of 65 Back, and gained eight surviving step children: Ann, Catherine, John, Ann, Isabella, Kenneth, Murdo, and Margaret. The couple went on to have two children together: two sons. Their eldest son, Murdo died during World War One as did her step son, Kenneth.
