Mary Morrison, born 1815, married farmer Malcolm Ferguson of Ruisgarry, where they made their home. Together they were to have at least eight children. In 1845, with the re-organisation of Ruisgarry’s small crofts into larger ones, the family emigrated to Fergusons’ Lake, Cape Breton.
