113137: Malcolm Ferguson
Malcolm (1796-1872) was a son of Donald Ferguson and Catherine MacLeod of Ruisgarry.
Malcolm became a farmer, holding a small tenancy in Ruisgarry. In 1830 he was paying £5.12.6 annual rental. He married Mary Morrison, with whom he was to have at least eight children. In 1845, with the re-organisation of Ruisgarry’s small crofts into larger ones, the family emigrated to Fergusons’ Lake, Cape Breton. Malcolm died at Grand River in 1873.
