4418: 9 Hacklete
The first tenant on No 9 Hacklete, after it was lotted in 1880, was Malcolm Mackenzie "Calum ‘an Thaillear". His son Donald was the first child born in Hacklete after resettlement . They swapped crofts with the Macleod family who lived at No 8 Breaclete shortly after that as their next child was born in Breaclete in 1884. Malcolm Macleod’s son Lewis inherited then the tenancy was passed to a niece Mary Maciver.
