Roderick (1836-1897) was a son of Angus Macleod and Annabella Macarthur, Orinsay. In 1839 the family moved to 6 Old Lemreway and in 1843 they moved to Crobeg.
Roderick did not marry and lived at 6 Torastay. The 1871 census indicates that he was living with his mother, Annabella Macarthur, sister, Margaret Macleod and nephew, Murdo Macleod.
