Margaret (born 1828) was a daughter of Angus Macleod and Annabella Macarthur, Orinsay. In 1839 the family moved to 6 Old Lemreway and in 1843 they moved to Crobeg.
The 1871 census indicates that Margaret and her mother were living with Roderick at 6 Torostay.
In Keose, in 1872, she married widower John Smith 16 Balallan.
