Murchadh Choinnich Iain

Murdo (1876-1963) was a son of Kenneth Macleod and Mary Macmillan, 8 Calbost.

Some time after 1891 the family moved to 3 Marvig.

In Lochs, in 1909, he married  Mary Macleod, 4 Garyvard. The couple had two children, Roderick  (1909) and Mary Ann (1911). 

In 1912 the  family emigrated to Canada arriving at St John, New Brunswick. They moved to Calgary, Alberta where the couple had  Ann (1912), Unknown child (1914) and John (1915).By the time Christina (1915) and Kenneth Alexander (1919) were born they were back in Lewis.

In 1921 the family were all living at 4 Garyvard and on June 2, 1923 Murdo returned to Canada on  SS Megantic.

In 1924 the family joined him in Canada and in 1926 they were back in Calgary. 

Murdo was widowed in 1929 and was living at 2502 16th Street South West, Calgary on 25th June 1939 when he went to the United States to visit his daughters, Mary Ann and Ann.
