18129: Mary Maciver

Mary Maciver (1829-1909) was from Gress Tack; in 1842 she emigrated with her parents to the Eastern Townships, Quebec.

Mary married Malcolm Macaulay, an emigrant from Bosta; Mary and Malcolm had six children.

Mary and Malcolm also raised Christina, the daughter of Malcolm’s brother John Macaulay and John’s wife Christina Macdonald, after Christina died on 4th July 1858, from complications in childbirth, after giving birth to her daughter Christina on 1st July 1858.

Mary and Malcolm were buried in Sand Hill Cemetery, Quebec. Their son Neil Allen was buried beside them.
