APPOINTMENT OF NURSE – At the Lewis District Committee meeting on Wednesday last a letter was read from the Medical Service Board agreeing to the appointment of Miss J MacLean, Glasgow (a native of the district), to be District Nurse in West Uig on a temporary footing, on the same terms as her predecessor. The salary is 80 per annum, inclusive.
