ScotlandsPlaces has its own gazetteer of Scottish places and administrative units, consisting of an index of inhabited places in Scotland, both past and present, compiled from central government and local government records and older gazetteers. ScotlandsPlaces also includes information on the classification of Scottish administrative units including counties, parishes, burghs, regions and districts.
