Mary Macleod was born at 37 Arnol in 1814. Her parents were John Macleod and Effie Macleod. Mary married Alex Finlayson of 10/11 Brue in 1831 and had ten children, five sons and five daughters, at 10/11 Brue. Mary died there in 1888 and is buried in Barvas.
