9658: Charles Mackinnon Campbell
Charles Mackinnon Campbell (1909-1978) was a son of Neil Campbell and Mary Mackinnon, Hough, Tiree. He was married twice.
At Glasgow, in 1966, he married his second wife, Christina Macaulay from 17 Kirkibost. She worked as matron in Richmond children's Home in Lanark.
After Charles's retirement as a stonemason, Charles and Christina moved to Bernera to live at 1 Hacklete with Christina's sister Catherine Macaulay. Christina was the district nurse in Bernera for a number of years and, as she did not have a driving licence, Charles drove her to visit all her patients. Charles and Christina did not have any children.
