94149: Ann Murray

Ann (1903-1996) was the daughter of Murdo Murray and Catherine Murray; it is not known where the family were living at the time of her birth. Her paternal grandparents were living at 27 North Tolsta and her maternal grandparents were at 43 Swainbost so either of these addresses is a good possibility.

Sometime between 1913 and 1916 the family moved to Seaview, Hill Street, North Tolsta.

Ann’s father died in 1916.

She married Alexander Dan Mackenzie, of 43 Crossbost, and settled with him at Seaview; the couple had three children: a boy who died in infancy and two girls and one boy.

In 1947 Ann’s mother died. At this time, or prior to it, Seaview passed to Ann.

Ann was widowed in 1961.

In due course the house passed to their granddaughter.
