93476: John Macleod
John (born 1847) was the son of Donald Macleod and Mary Maclennan; the family lived with his uncle at 1 Old South Tolsta.
In 1851, during the croft relottings, his uncle obtained 36 North Tolsta and the family settled there with him.
In 1857 the family obtained 58 North Tolsta as a newly lotted croft.
He and his brothers attended school in Stornoway.
John inherited 58 North Tolsta, but never married. In due course 58 North Tolsta passed to Norman Maciver.
