93431: Kenneth Smith

Kenneth (1805-1885) was the son of Angus Smith and Ann Mackinnon; it is not known where the family were living at the time of his birth.

By 1820 there was an Angus Smith on the sub-tenants list of Old South Tolsta Tack, but it is not clear if this was his father: as by 1830 three Angus Smiths went on to obtain crofts. In 1830 his father obtained 12 Old South Tolsta.

Kenneth married Catherine Morrison, of Marvig, but it is not clear where the couple initially settled or where their three children were born.

In 1851, during the croft relottings, the family obtained 55 North Tolsta.

Kenneth was widowed in 1881.

In due course 55 North Tolsta passed to his eldest son: Donald.
