93215: Janet Maclennan
Janet Maclennan (1840-1926) was a daughter of John Maclennan and Jane Macdonald nee Morrison, 9a Old Lemreway. In 1843 Lemreway was cleared and the family were removed to 4 Glen Tolsta.
Her father died c1848 and the family moved to 49 North Tolsta c1856. Janet’s mother lost 49 North Tolsta in 1863 and the family were cottars at her son, Alexander’s croft at 60 North Tolsta.
At Back, in 1870 Jessie married Roderick Macritchie of 1 Gravir and they were initially cottars at 60 North Tolsta. The family moved to Crossbost and in 1877 were living in Gravir. The couple had five children.
The family later moved to Stornoway.
