92975: Donald Martin

Donald (1785-1835) was the son of John Martin and Margaret Macdonald; it is not certain where the family were living at the time of his birth.

Between 1802 and 1810 four of Donald’s siblings died in late childhood. Only his sister Anne survived into adulthood with him.

In 1820 his father’s name appears on the sub tenants list for Old South Tolsta Tack. It is not certain Donald was still living in the parental home at this time however.

In 1830, during the croft lottings, his father obtained 3 Old South Tolsta. Donald never married and did not have any children, so may have still been living in the parental home, but this is not certain.

Donald died in his fifties and was outlived by both of his parents.
