92362: William Murray
William (1835-1875) was the son of John Murray and Margaret Macdonald, of 13 Old South Tolsta.
In 1851, during the croft relottings, the family obtained 29 North Tolsta.
William married Annie Graham, of 21 Coll, and the couple settled as cottars at 21 Coll and had six children.
In 1875, the family obtained 64 Coll as a newly lotted croft. In due course 64 Coll passed to their eldest son: John.
William drowned off the Cape of Wrath. He and five men other from Coll, including is brother-in-laws: John and Alexander, were returning from herring fishing off Wick. HIs body was never recovered.
