92189: Margaret Maciver

Margaret (1796-1883) was the daughter of Murdo Maciver of Coll Tacks.

Margaret married Donald Maciver, of Coll Tacks, and, by 1825, the couple were settled at 19/20 Aird Tong; they had their first child the following year. It is not clear if they were merely cottars on land that later became these two crofts. They had their first six children in Aird Tong.

In 1841 the family obtained 20 Old North Tolsta, as a newly lotted croft; the couple had a further four children there. In total they had ten children: seven girls and three boys.

In 1853 the family obtained 26 North Tolsta.
