91681: Margaret Ann Macleod

Margaret Ann (1926-2000) was the daughter of Murdo Macleod and Annie Macdonald, of 34 North Tolsta.

Prior to her marriage, Maggie Ann worked in the local Post Office. Margaret Ann married John Mackay, of 16 North Tolsta, and the couple settled at 34 North Tolsta, which passed to Margaret in due course. The couple had four children: three boys and a girl.

Margaret Ann was widowed in 1990.

Margaret Ann wrote poems and these were published in Clachan Criche. These poems display intimate knowledge of local houses, people and customs.
