91268: Angus Graham

Angus (1811-1886) was the son of Donald Graham and Mary Chisholm of 18 Old North Galson.

Angus married Isabella Murray, of 6 Old South Tolsta, and the couple had three children prior to obtaining 34 Old South Tolsta in 1842. They went on to have a fourth child in 1848.

In 1851, during the croft relottings, Angus obtained 9 North Tolsta; however, as Isabella died that year it is not clear if she was living when the family relocated to 9 North Tolsta.

In 1852, Angus married for a second time; he married, widow, Margaret Maclennan, of Lower Barvas. They married in Barvas and settled at 9 North Tolsta and had four children together.

In due course the couple’s daughter Mary became a cottar at 9 North Tolsta, but it eventually passed to their son-in-law: Alex Nicolson.
