90898: Margaret Nicolson

Margaret (1847-1935) was the daughter of John Nicolson and Christina Macdonald. The address at the time of her birth is not certain. Her father’s parents were living at 16 Old South Tolsta and her mother’s were probably cottars in Old South Tolsta; it is likely the family were living at one of these addresses.

In the 1851 croft relottings the family obtained 3 North Tolsta and settled there.

Margaret married Donald Macleod, 53 North Tolsta and the couple settled as cottars at 3 North Tolsta. They had two daughters.
