75063: Catherine MacAskill
Catherine, born in 1878, was the daughter of Angus MacAskill and Marion Munro, cottars on 11/12 Ruisgarry (Quay). The family later moved to 6 Borve, which her father obtained in 1900.
Catherine became a domestic servant, marrying Allan MacLeod on 1st January 1901, with whom she was to have seven children. She continued to work, as a wool spinner. The family home was at 14 Ruisgarry (Trealigarry), which was passed to Catherine from her maternal grandparents.
Following Catherine’s death, Trealigarry was passed to her son Donald.
