75048: Donald John MacLeod
Donald John, born in 1867, was the son of Duncan MacLeod and Catherine Paterson of 16 Ruisgarry (Brusda). Donald John became a fisherman, then a crofter on being passed the croft at Brusda following the death of his father.
In 1907 he married Rebecca MacAskill, with whom he was to have four sons. Betsy died in 1915.
On 1st January 1918, Donald John married Ann MacKillop of 11 Borve. Following Donald John’s death, apparently from influenza, in 1943, the croft was passed to his youngest son Angus.
