69229: Malcolm Ferguson

Malcolm, born c1855, was a son of John and Mary nee Mackay who relocated from Hacklete to 12 Carishader. He was a ploughman/labourer in Avoch when he married Catherine nee Taylor (daughter of Andrew and Ann nee Thompson) on 3rd March 1876. Catherine died in childbed in November of that year and Malcolm registered both the birth of his son John and the death of his wife on the same day.

John was brought to Carishader, Lewis to his paternal grandparents, John and Mary Ferguson presumably by his father sometime before 1881.

Malcolm had died before his son’s marriage in 1902.
