Donald (1830-1865) was a son of John Matheson and Isabella Macdonald, 3 Old Gravir at Tumanuadan. His father died and in the 1852 Lotting his mother obtained 31 Gravir.
In Lochs, in 1853, he married Mary Macdonald, 24 North Street, Sandwick, Stornoway. Donald and Mary lived at 31 Gravir and they had five children. He died in an acccident on a fishing boat.
The family moved to 25 Gravir in the 1860s
Donald died aged 34.
