55034: Angus Morrison

Angus, son of Malcolm Morrison and Margaret Macdonald, 41b Balallan, emigrated to New Zealand in c1896. He served as a special reservist during the Boer War. Murdo enlisted in the Army at the beginning of the First World War and was in the first landing of troops at Gallipoli. He was taken prisoner by the Turks and remained in their hands until the Armistice. Murdo returned to Scotland after the First World War and settled in Glasgow.
