54223: Ann Gillies
Ann (1828-1912) was a daughter of Donald Gillies and Christina Macleod, 5 Old Orinsay.
Her father died in 1830 and in 1843, when Orinsay was cleared, the family moved to 5 Leurbost.
Her mother split the croft giving half to Ann and half to her brother Roderick. Ann’s half became 6 Leurbost.
In Lochs, in 1854, Ann married Donald Macleod, 8 Grimshader. The couple settled at 6 Leurbost and they had seven children.
