Catherine Macdonald (1801-1882) was a daughter of Duncan Macdonald and Catherine Maclennan, 6 Old Orinsay.
In 1820 she married Murdo Mackenzie, 8 Old Lemreway. Catherine and Murdo were cotters on 6 Old Orinsay and they had seven children.
Old Orinsay was cleared in 1843 and the family were removed to 15 Crossbost.
Catherine was widowed in 1864.
