27169: Roderick Mackenzie
Roderick (1828-1918) was a son of Murdo Mackenzie and Ann Morrison, 5 Old Eishken.
His mother died c1833 and in 1835 Eishken was cleared and the family were removed to 9 Grimshader.
In Lochs, in 1858, he married Margaret Morrison, 21 Laxay. Roderick and Margaret settled at 9 Grimshader and they had seven children.
Roderick’s father died in 1878 and the croft was split between Roderick 9a and Colin 9b.
