26915: Ian Macdonald

John Macdonald (1919-1988) son of Hector Macdonald and Murdina Nicolson, 18 Laxay served with the Seaforth Highlanders (1st Battalion) during the Second World War in the UK and Burma. He was part of the "Forgotten Army" that was cut off for six months at Imphal. He moved to Glasgow and married Alexina Montgomery, 27 Laxay and settled in Irvine, Ayrshire.
