Catherine (1826-1881) was a daughter of Alexander Maciver and Isabella Smith, 11 Laxay.
In Lochs, in 1846 she married John Macleod, 2 Crossbost. The lived at Laxay and later moved to 6 Torostay before settling at 13 Cromore. The couple had eight children.
