Rev John Mackenzie (1903-1981) son of Colin Mackenzie and Ann Matheson, 7 Laxay was ordained an inducted to Plockton and Kyle in 1934. He married Ann Maciver, 13 Shader, Point in 1935. He was translated to Leverburgh, Harris in 1946 and retired in 1968 and lived in Stornoway.
