Allan Macaskill (born 1825) was the son of Duncan Macaskill and Christina Morrison, Taransay Harris.
The family moved to Lewis in 1851. Allan was living with his parents at 7 Habost.
In 1854 he married Mary Macleod, Ardhasaig. Allan and Mary settled at 7 Habost and they had four children.
The family later moved to Ardhasaig.
