1251: John Smith

John was a son of Murdo Smith and Christina Smith of 2 Earshader. John emigrated to Canada, where his cousin Catherine Smith of 1 Earshader was his housekeeper.

According to oral tradition, when they died they left 60 to 1 Earshader, 60 to a sister in Leurbost, 60 to 3 Earshader which was used to start building the present home, and 4 Earshader received the family Bible.
