Kenneth (born 1880) was a son of John Mackay and Annie Macdonald, 6/7 Fivepenny, Ness.
In 1884, the family emigrated to Canada and settled at Lake Megantic for a year before returning to Lewis. The family were Cottars at 6/7 Fivepenny, Ness.
Kenneth emigrated to Canada and served in the Canadian Army in the First World War. He was gassed and returned to Lewis.
In 1919 he married Margaret Maclean, 15 Fivepenny, Ness. Kenneth and Margaret settled at 24 South Galson and they had two children.
