Donald John (1875-1964) was a son of John Maclennan and Margaret Campbell, 13 Scarp.
He was living in Partick in 1902 when he married Catherine Mary Macmillan or Morrison, Partick, formerly of 12 Kershader. Donald John and Catherine Mary settled at 11 Kennedy Drive and they had four sons.
Donald John was widowed in 1908 and he and his sons moved to the family croft at 13 Scarp. The family lived in a thatched house with two gables. During a storm in 1921 a gable end blew down coming through the thatch and killed two of his sons, David and Angus John.
Donald John, his sons Kenneth and John and his nephew, Norman Maclennan moved to 1 Cliasmol.
