121502: Archie Morrison

Archie (born c. 1923) was the son of Donald Morrison and Rachel Morrison of 4/2 Middlequarter.Sometime after 1963 Archie married Maggie Ann MacLeod of Dunskellar School. Archie inherited 4/2 Middlequarter and 11 Middlequarter. Archie and Maggie Ann did not have any children of their own; they settled, with their foster son and his wife, at 8 Sruthan Ruadh. Archie and Maggie Ann’s foster son inherited 11 Middlequarter.

Archie contributed local memories to the introduction of Croft history : Isle of North Uist, volume 2. These included details of his schooldays, and planes landing on Malaclete strand.
