John (1874-1962) was a son of Donald Macleod and Mary Murray of 28 New Shawbost.
John married Effie Morrison of 62 South Bragar. He inherited the croft at 28 New Shawbost, subsequently exchanging crofts with John Maclean of 27 Brue. John and Effie had six children.
