119510: Jane Macrae

Jane was a daughter of William Macrae and his first wife, Margaret Morrison, Miavaig Farm and House. After the death of her mother she and her sister were brought up by their Aunt Margaret at the UFC Manse, Berneray, Harris, where her husband was the minister.

Jane married Donald Sutherland from North Uist and they had two sons.  She was a teacher at Marig, Harris, then during the war, headteacher at Crowlista School. When her husband was demobbed, they settled in Glasgow.
