117362: John Bethune

John, born about 1770, was the son of Angus Bethune of Berneray. John married Margaret MacAulay of North Uist, with whom he had at least four children. He worked as an itinerant tailor and was also an elder in the Established Church. He attended the General Assembly until 1840.
