117314: Donald Morrison
Donald, born 1785, was the son of Archibald Morrison and Mary MacAskill of Pol an Òir. The family lived at a site later known as Tobhta Ghilleasbuig Ghobha.
Donald is shown on the tenancy rolls for Borve in 1818, paying annual rent of £5.10s. This would have been about the time he married Catherine Morrison from Uist, with whom he was to have five children. The family later emigrated to Loch Lomond, Cape Breton, possibly in 1828 at the same time as his sister Margaret.
